Space Capstar II

Another Nigoro gem! (See previous Death Village). "Invincible Randy" is on a dangerous mission to Point K9 to gather the rare mineral Red Krypton. His little spaceship handles like crap though, so he'll be having a hard time completing his mission. Not to mention the annoyances of lasers, mines, spacepirates and running out of gas. Nice touch with the alternate gravity directions - 'cause as you know, in space, there is no thing like "up" or down". This adds to the sometimes severe trickieness guiding Randy through the interiors of the planets.

Aztec Games

We have'nt posted anything from japanese game developer Aztec to my knowledge. Maybe it's because of ignorance or the fact that neither Jonas or myself are point-and-click-adventure buffs. Never the less, Aztec has a rep for making great, intricate and hard japanese pnc's. And I know a lot of people love this stuff, so here we go!
Perfect for the weekend with nothing else to do or in case of insomnia, 'cause they are tricky and take some time to complete. Happy clickin'.

Jinja (The Shrine)
Solve the mystery of the rocket and asian Pagoda.

Escape from Island
Your plane has crashed on an island. You want to get off.

Escape from Octlien
Lost in space. Weird stuff going on here.

Dr.Dokkoy
Sequel to Escape from Octlien.

Death Village

Help Kevin, the nervous real estate agent to inspect the haunted houses of Death Village. Unfortunately, he's so scared he tends to get disoriented and having trouble to find his way out. Use subtle means like slipping stairwells, slamming doors, bats, mummys and ghosts to scare him in the right direction. Don't overdo it though - he finds his job so terrifying you might actually scare him to death. A nice japanese platformer from Nigoro.

Momentum Missile Mayhem

Kapow! Kaboom! Great defend-the-castle kind of game. Slingshot different kinds of ammo and bounce of the walls to create greater havoc.

Fairway to Hell

This is how golf should be played! Grab your clubs and go bananas indoors. Another great game from adultswim.

Soulsearch

Been a while since we posted a "move the dot"/"avoid the walls" game. Here's a tricky one with a snappy techno soundtrack for you.

Smokin' Barrels

When I was a kid and we played Cowboys and Indians, I always wanted to be cowboy. Hell, the others only had bows and arrows and fairy feahers in their hair- as a cowboy you had a sixshooter and boots! And I sure as hell was the fastest and meanest gunslinger around with my plastic Colt Peacemaker replica and wooden Winchester as all the other kids were far more politically correct and played indians... Wich mean I usually ended up bound up to the totempole/lightpost and got "scalped". Well, I always gave 'em a fight though...

Sling Fire

Damn! What are the odds for the exact same thing to happen twice? Never the less, it seems as yet again evil monsters from a parallell universe has stolen one of the key elements of the goo world powersource. Last time, in Sling, it was the slime element, this time the bastards has stolen the fire dito. And guess what... You're the one choosen to bring it back. Fun slinging action for all the family featuring your favourite snotball.

Bluep

Yet another Astroids clone. The only difference, besides the graphics and the little to fast pace, is that you can jump. Might as well jump. jump ! Might as well jump. Go ahead, jump. jump ! Go ahead, jump.

Submachine 5 - The Root

Productive little fellow, isn't he? Mr Skutnik has released the latest installment of the Submachine series. If you are a fan (as I am) of his previous pnc:s, you won't be disappointed. This one is just as moody and mysterious as all the Submachines leading up to this one.

Gimme Friction Baby

The title will make perfect sense when you play the game. I've seldom felt more frustrated over simple scripted physics than in this little game. Man! Its addictive, and hard. Don't let the seemingly super lame highscore of 8 on the pic fool you, it's not all that easy... Simple game idea, brilliant execution, super game! (2007 entry in cgdc no 3 on jayisgames)

Boomshine

It is proven once again. Some of the best games come from the simplest of ideas. No real need for fancy graphics, just well scripted code and nice physics. Add a very soothing theme to loop in the background and you've got a seriously great game. Hyperaddictive as well. You just have to beat that 12th level...!

CoBaCoLi

Now this is more like it! Tonypa has made some pretty interesting and groundbreaking stuff before. Always fresh and always extremely playable in all their simplicity. This time you should break out your poolskills and get the colored rings to touch the colored sides by using the white ring. Bounce off the white sides - if you accidently touch the colored ones with your "cueball" you'll lose a shot. Easy enough, right? Well you'll find out how "easy" it is when those remaining shots just gets fewer and fewer...

Aquanaut

Hey! It seems as all the ice from the latest Nitrome releases has melted! Aquanaut is another goodlooking but very familiar Nitrome game. Feels a bit like we've played this game a couple of times before, only the graphics are new. Good job and all, but c'mon Nitrome, give us something a bit more exciting next time.

Don't you know it, it's hip to be square. Great little shooter from the excellent Tonypa.

Oh crap. No posts since last month! Sorry... I've been way too busy trying to beat this hilarious little game. We will try to shape up some in the days to come.
