Puki The Swarm

This is a neat and quite ambitious 3D/flash/FPS shooter.
The Pukis are cute but bloodthirsty creatures that multiplies rapidly. They have taken over your spaceship and your mission is to cleanse the ship from the pest.
Use [W],[A],[S] and [D] to move around, press[Shift] to crouch and pick up stuff. [Space] triggers your shield. One tip: don't be too trigger happy as your gun might overheat.

Grudge Teaser

Finally a 3D shoot 'em up in shockwave that actually works on my Mac. Usually they crash instantly, but this one held true for almost all of my lunchbreak. Classic fps action in wellknown Quakish space environments. Looks great and works pretty good, but annoying third person view that makes it hard to aim as you sort of have to peek over your own characters shoulder. Load up and blast away.

Stickman Madness

I find it highly interesting how the original Xiao-Xiao animations and games gave birth to a whole sub-genre - Stickman games... there must be hundreds of games like this one. Anyway, if you have the urge to kill a whole bunch of stickmanfigures, this is one for you. Excessive violence galore. Aim, shoot and reload. And, oh, be quick or be dead.

Capture the Newbies

Cartoon style FPS! It runs really smooth and the story/graphics are really cute. Just follow invader Zims instructions and get those pests netted before they take too great bites off your spacecadet ass.

Toon Crisis

Want to shoot some more stuff? - here's the second shoot'em up of the day. Toon Crisis is an adgame for the new Sony MP3 Walkman Flash. Really ugly "toons" and the game tend to lag when there are too many sprites on stage at the same time, but I find the way the environment is filmed pretty cool. Don't forget to press space to, err, duck.

Dawn of the Dead - Blackout

We got this tip all the way from Japan - thanks Pont-Chan. I'm a big fan of Zombie movies. Ever since I first saw the 1968 classic Night of the living dead I've been hooked. In 2004, the remake of George A. Romeros Dawn of the Dead hit the cinemas and as a zombiefilm, this one delivered. Hordes of horribly disfigured walking dead, a small group of people besieged by them, and scene after scene depicting an infinite number of ways of how to best dispose of attacking zombies (usually containing a lot of headshots and splattered brains). Here's a promotional game from the remake of Dawn of the Dead. Trapped in an underground parking garage, equipped with a trusty pump-action shotgun, you have to try and last for as long as possible. Sweep the area with your barrelmounted flashlight, keep an eye on the in-game radar, and blast the f***ers before they climb the fence and take a bite out of you. Brrraaaains, I need brrraaaaains!

XXX – State of the union

Enter the role of undercover-killingmachine-superagent in this wellmade triple X game. Made up of tree separate stages. In the first you have to drive trough a cityscape (in a pimpmobile?!) and find the entrance to a building held by terrorists before the clock runs out. Stage two is a FPS-style shoot 'em up where you have to take out all the terrorists with your oversized handgun and the tird and last is a puzzle - rearrange the wires to stop the bomb. Really nice and well produced but the biggest benefit from the game is that you in effect get three games in one. And that there are no signs of Vin Diesel. Go on, try it out - i know you live for this.

It´s just amazing what you can do with Director nowadays. This game is a part of the campaign site for movie Land of the dead. The idea, as I sure you can guess, is to shoot zombies. In real first shooter stylee.
